Lecture schedule change

As has been announced in lecture, we will not have a formal lecture on Monday, November 19 as I will be co-teaching a HigherEd 2.0 workshop at the University of Virginia on that day. To accommodate this and to still allow you the day off after Exam No. 3, we will have the following changes to the lecture schedule:
  1. We will eliminate the Impulse-Momentum lecture originally scheduled for Monday, November 12. In its place, we will start our coverage of Vibrations on that date.
  2. That lecture and the following two lectures will be moved up one lecture period. The corresponding homework assignments are also moved up one lecture period.
  3. On Monday, November 19 you will be asked to review the review material on the Work-Energy method that is provided as "Lecture 38" in the On-line Lecture box shown at the right side of this blog page. This material is presented to help you prepare for Exam No. 3 and the Final Exam.
  4. We will be back on our regular lecture schedule following the Thanksgiving break.
Please see the attached revised lecture schedule that summarizes the above changes.

Also, the homework assigned for the first lecture on Vibrations is labeled "Supplementary" on the course syllabus. The problem statements for these questions can be found on the "Homework" page of the course website (a link to this page is found on the right side of this blog page.)

Let me know if you have an questions on these changes.
